Ax4n 1st gear bypass help

Hello All,
Thank you for considering my question. I have a 1997 Taurus 3.0L with AX4N transmission. It is slipping badly in 1st gear only. Can any of you think of a way to bypass 1st gear and start out in 2nd? I have considered putting switches on the shift solenoid wires but do not know the pin-outs or if it would work. I have also considered “faking out” the computer to think is moving at 15 mph when it is standing still but have no idea how to do this. This would be a temporary fix but badly needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
