Nissan RB26DETT vs Toyota 2JZ

I know these engines have their own following. To be honest, they have my respect. But which of these Tuner engines is the better??? Lets put it to the vote... and place your reasons below..

Nissan's RB26DETT or Toyota's 2JZ..

Here in the states the RB is pretty rare. I see more 1JZ/2JZ swaps than RB swaps (even for cars like the 300ZX, which offered the RB overseas). I'd assume it has to do with parts and availability rather than one engine being superior. Both seem to be more than capable of big power.

According to most, either of them can produce upto 700 BHP just on increasing the boost and tuning the stock chip. If that is the case, these are phenominal engines... Shame they are discontinued...

One of my fav scenes in Tokyo Drift is the building the final hero car... That Mustang and that RB26 engine was an awesome combo... Alright, the stunt cars in the movie had v8s, but that was just great....

Re: Nissan RB26DETT vs Toyota 2JZ

I live in the southeastern part of the united states and i have seen about 25 rb swaps in my area (mostly 240sx)and two real deal r32 gtr skylines. living in this area has blessed us with the ability to swap anything into just about anything due to no smog/vehicle inspection. A guy in memphis tn, an hour from my home is the owner of one of the gtrs, as well as a procharged corvette powered honda civic hatchback known as the civette. that car is on youtube. stock for stock, the rb wins because the
car that it is in has awd so it jumps out of the hole.
