Re: Is a car with LSD street legal?

LSD, Posi-Trac, welded spiders, locking diffs, all are legal and all are fundamentally the same thing and they are all legal on the street. Back in the day most cars came stock with posis but nowadays it is an option in some cars and not available from the factory in others. Most modifications are legal with the exception of nitrous and anything that lowers your vehicles overall safety. Rollcages, strut braces, wider wheels, aftermarket suspension, bigger brakes are all legal and actually should be encouraged because they offer superior performance to factory parts and increase a vehicles overall safety. And hell even if all that stuff was illegal I'd still drive my Z.

'72, some of that stuff is in the future mod list but the cage, wheels, and 9" posi are all in the trial and error stages.

Re: Is a car with LSD street legal?

Lsd is street legal hell a full spool is legal just a pain in the ass to drive turn corners with ask a drag racer with one.Just in case someone wants to question what a spool is heres an explanation. A piece about the size of a lsd that is just solid and locks both tires together and gives both constant torque.not recomended for anything but drag and dirt tracks although it might good ok for a drifter if u could ever find one to fit a ricer.
