1994 Geo Tracker not shifting into overdrive
Problem:1994 Geo tracker not shifting into overdrive.
I have a 94 tracker with a 4 speed automatic transmittion. It is not shifting into overdrive. You can feel it shift 3 times but for some reason won't shift into overdrive. It is in good shape and engine runs smoth. It has 117000 miles on it. Does anyone have any idea what to start looking at? I've looked to see if by chance a wire came off some where but don't see anything unhooked. Also listened for vaccum leaks and didn't hear anything. A friend said it could be in the computer. Any suggestions. The check engine light is on also. |

Dude you say it is a 4 speed, correct?
Stop and think: You shift into Drive (1st) The transmission shifts 1-2, 2-3, 3-4. You will only feel three shifts................... 1-2 = 1 2-3 = 2 3-4 = 3 Hope I've helped on this one... Chris |
