Re: Passenger Floorboard Wet
update in case anyone is still following this... the cowl drain was not clogged this time... so i pulled the glove box out, unhooked the wiring harness and removed the engine control computer and cut out as much of the insullation as i could. I poured water down the windshield and followed the small leak up to a point where the firewall meets some other body componants and had some body sealer between - the body sealer had formed a hole not much bigger than the tip of a pencil ( attached picture) sealed the hole, hopefully it holds.

Re: Passenger Floorboard Wet
osteve150, did you resolve your leak issue from 3/2011 posting?
My symptoms appear to be very similar to yours and I am hoping for some wisdom and success...Can you share either? I have No Sunroof, it is Not a/c drain line, only gets wet when it rains, regardless of moving or sitting still and the water settles/pools in the passenger side rear floor pan. Thank you! |

Re: Passenger Floorboard Wet
Wow totally forgot I had this issue! Yes peel the carpet back remove anything that prevents you from getting a good look at the firewall and inspect the inside of the firewall I had a pen sized hole that I sealed with silicone sealer and never had another problem! I ran water over it with a garden hose while everything peeled back to find the drip

Re: Passenger Floorboard Wet
Thanks for the quick reply!
That should help when I dig into it. I have started with only checking window and door seals but have not found anything yet. I will check the front carpet padding more closely and see if I can find anything around the firewall where you did. Was your carpet only wet in the front floor board, or did the water eventually accumulate to the rear floor pan to settle at the lowest point? Thanks again! |

Re: Passenger Floorboard Wet
Yes it would seep to the rear and sometimes be worse there because its a little lower than the front floor pan. Good luck!

Pull the carpet in that area and look for a hole in the floorboard.
