Very nice. I assume they left out the tests where the MR2 got spanked, but interesting, nonetheless.

First off...
Dont buy a Boxster unless you can get the Boxster S. That way you are driving the "good one". Next, the MR2 should have never abandoned the 2.0 Liter Turbo...but if they had to...they should have dumped in the 1.8 Liter 180HP engine that they are using in the Matrix and Celica GTS. Doh!!! Toyoya messes up again.
Decision: Neither unless I get to pick the Boxster S. |

Well
Since I drove both...(my boss across the street from me had the Boxster and now has the 'S')...I can very much tell you that the extra money is worth it...the Boxster S has 250HP btw...not 300HP. I speak from personal experience...not magazines...and again...this is only my opinion...I like the extra get up an go.

Boxter is a great track car. However Boxter S has the engine it needs to shine. Although I only get to drive a tiptronic Boxter S it was a lot more fun than the standard Boxter.

im aware that the boxster s has 250bhp and not 300, what i meant is that it doesnt take all the power in the world to make a good car a good car.
youre lucky to have driven both. i too would go for the boxster S but wouldnt say no if you handed me the keys to a standard boxster, nor would i be disappointed in not having the S model cheers jay |
