stage 1 will give you 240 wheel Hp and 260 wheel tq it will stand up to an evo and even sti from a roll with a bit of luck

Stage 1 adds about 25hp and 25 torque about. All it is is new pcm and fuel injectors. It takes about 1/4 second off et. How you drive is what you can hang with. I have a few videos on my web page if you want to see srt4 vs. evo, sti, eclipse. From a 20mph roll very little will hang with even stock srt-4 AWD only hurts once your alredy in motion. With stage 1 and 3" exhaust SRT-4 put down similiar dyno numbers as evo and sti from a roll forget it sti will hang but the 6 speed means too much shifting. SRT-4 is great for the tall gears and torque rating at the top.
Stage 1 for the '04 is just pcm no injectors because '04 were built with the bigger injectors. but put you at about same numbers as '03. The LSD helps very little in drag racing but is very nice in the corners. |

i have to disagree with you on that...even though the quaife found on 04's is helical type and better suited for cornering than drag racing it will still help greatly with your launches over an open diff

Well that sounds great for the perpose of your post but I own an 03 and about a month ago I went to track with 5 other srt-4. 1 was 04 3 with stock open differential and 1 with Phantom grip. I drove the '04 got no better reation time , no better 60' time I was two tenths of a second better et. at 1 mile faster. I wasnt allowed to drive the phantom grip but it would not have been a fare comparasion sinse he's got about $1500 in mods and has not broke into 12( shifts too slow.) We will be renting a track with audi club next month to try road coarse I expect to be beaten up pretty baddly. I believe I'm just going to go with the phantom grip because its $299 instead of $1200+ and If I have problem with tranny I can replace later with LSD or replace with cheaper '03 style and use phantom again.

its weird that the quaife did not improve your launch it should at least a bit
btw if i would be you i would realy steer away from that phantom grip LSD...i know how it operates and IMO its a terible design while quaife's diffs are just amazing even though its expensive that quaife its more than worth it
