Redline vs. celica gt w/spray

I have been enjoying this warm weather as much as possible lately, and so has my car! On the way home from school about an hour ago I turned onto a one way that I always take to get home. A celica with a cf hood pulled up next to me, and the guy driving just looked straight ahead. I looked back and saw an exhaust, but also saw that it was just a gt. We played around from stoplight to stoplight as I let my car warm up, then I followed him out of town where I assumed he was heading toward the college. We kept messing around until all the cars passed by going the other way and there was nothing but clear roads in both directions. I pulled up next to him and saw that he had a bottle of nitrous hooked up and sitting near his right pillar on the dash! I thought that was kind of a weird spot but I lined up anyways and we slowed to about 45 and I dropped it to 2nd and pointed for him to take off. He nodded a few times and took off. I quickly followed suit and gained back that half car length he had from the jump. Then I hit the rev limiter AGAIN! But I shifted to 3rd and continued to pull, shifted to 4th a little early and stood on it for another second or so when I let off at about 100. When I looked back he was about 4 car lengths back, which didn’t seem too bad for a lightly modded gt with spray. He pulled up again and we gave each other a thumbs up and cruised for about another mile where he turned off at the college, so I honked and waved and he did the same and I turned around to head home. I’ve been lucky to run into cool guys to race lately, and hopefully this nice weather will stay around.

Ha add a zero to that (In the back) and that is warm! lol its been about 35-40º every day for a week, but ND teases you. Its probably gonna be -40 in about 2 days even though they are predicting 46!

I'm thinking the thing you thought was a nitrous bottle was a fire extinguisher. Just due to the position where it was located.

I thought about that but why would there be hoses hooked up to it going down to where i couldnt see them? I dont know...but he kept up FAIRLY well and when he hammered it the 1st time he tried to race i smelled the exhaust cause i had my windows down a little and it smelled like my dad's friend's snowmobile that has nitrous.

EDIT: I guess they could have just been really long things hanging from it, and it could have had more than just exhaust but not sprayed, but i dont know how to explain the smell unless he was running high octane for some reason....or celicas might smell really weird lol

Is his a gt-s? Cause this was a gt...maybe it was more modded and he was a ricer with a chrome large fire extinguisher with hoses on it to make it look like nitrous...I dont know....I still dont know why it smelled like that though

Nice kill. Warm here right nowis upper 30's and lower 40's. It was about 42 the other day and me (along with others) were driving around with the windows down.
