I want one
Just wanted to be the first to say that, I wish Mitsubishi would import the Legnum VR-4 to the US.

They are. I have one!
2498cc twin turbo intercooler. 278 bhp. (as standard.) There is a saloon and an estate, the saloon called the galant and the estate called the legnum. 4WD, linked to AYC (active yaw control) means it can put the power to the road. 0-60 is in the region of 6.0 secs, and it is limited to 150mph. |

Damn I wish I could get one of these legnum VR4's in Australia - maybe I could grey import one ???
Does the twin turbo come only in the 4cyl or also in the V6. Anyone know more info on these - they look hot ? A bit like a cooool Magna/Diamante. What V6 do they come with (SOHC or DOHC or MIVEC)? Oh and by the way - I've just joined (this is my first post). Cheers. |

Quad cam, 2498cc V6, twin turbo, intercooler.
For more info check www.clubvr4.co.uk There is an australian member, but I can't remeber if he has the saloon or estate. |

Don't buy a Legnum unless you got access to high quality 98 RON Unleaded (100 RON Unleaded prefered). Mitsubishi NZ tell me that in NZ we don't have the fuel technology here, so running it on 96 RON makes it suck the gas and not have the power that it should.

Re: I want one
I have driven my Legnum on both regular and High octane, there is definitely a performance increase on the high octane, but even on 95 RON, the car ran perfectly OK and I never noticed any increase in fuel consumption....

The GDI engine needs the octane it was designed for. The VR4 runs better with 97 plus, but it has a bigger effect on power than consumption. The normally aspirated 2.5 V6 or the 2.0 I4 should work on anything no problem. |
