Audi Sport Quattro S1, Beemax, 1/24

Hi

got another one finished, this time the new Audi Sport Quattro S1 Kit from Beemax, Walter Röhrls last WRC win; curbside so no engine under the bodywork.

Godd: good fit; excellent decals, maybe the best I've ever used, they went easily around corners and curved areas, all yellow areas are decals.
Bad: Flash like an 80s Heller kit; you should give each edge of each part a light sanding with micromesh. The instructions are also sometimes a bit difficult...

OOB, except for the belts and I also used a Renaissance fill-in set for the poison decals- I did not use the optional detail set.
Painted with TS26, 29, Mr. Super Clear on top.

Hope you like it.

Beautiful clean build, congratulations !

Anyway, is it possible for you to remove the 90 sticker on the back side window ? It's a speed limit sign for studded tyres equipped cars, only used in France (Monte Carlo)

Same problem for Bad Homburg, that was the start town of the Audi team... for the '86 Monte rally... but it's presumably too late.

Really nice build of this iconic car! Clean and neat! With a little dark wash you could enhance the wheel nuts, to look more realistic. As Chris mentioned, could you replace the 90 speed limit sign with the yellow number 5 decal, included in the set?

looks great.
built mine as the monte car.
your right about the decals and the flash.
bought the photoetch set and only used a small portion of it.

…great building tips guys, that thing about the "90", had no idea
what that was for.

Tahnks

Yeah, about the decals, that's what I meant with difficult instructions. The issue with the 90 decal I missed, will try to change that, but that the Bad Hombourg decal is not for the San Remo car is not mentioned in the manual Can't remove it now, as it's under the clear.

Yes I checked the instructions and they are clearly...unclear Everything is there in the kit but it looks as if the instructions' designer does not communicate with the people in charge of the reference pictures...

In their "Belga" Celica TA64 kit, they also mentioned "Haspengouw rally '85" for the "Marlboro" livery. It is in fact Oman rally '84, 7000km afar from Belgium
