Opinions on changing my Z06 (PICS)
I've had the itch here to do some tweaking on the exterior of my Z06 and have settled on a few items.
I may do another photo of it from the rear angle with these same changes and include the ZR1 style rear spoiler. Thoughts? Opinions?

Re: Opinions on changing my Z06 (PICS)
I've been thinking about some of the same for my 2006 Z06, namely the ZR1 splitter and rear spoiler. The rest of your ideas might work for you (your car), but I prefer the roof yellow (in my case) - no opinion on the mirrors (hadn't really thought about it). Painting the roof seems like a wanna-be carbon fiber routine to me.
Enjoy! |

Re: Opinions on changing my Z06 (PICS)
Yeah, I ended up posting up several variations of these mods on another Corvette forum and received good feedback on some items. Others, not so much. lol...
I ended up not doing any of it yet. I've decided to wait until I build things up performance wise first, then appearance. I ran a 12.46 a the track this summer and now have a goal of shooting into the 11's next summer and hopefully into the 10's the following season. Then I'll have a good reason to make it look a little different than the rest.

Didn't realize that was your red Vette in the other thread. Nice pictures.
So,... you are/were thinking about putting the ZR1 parts on the C5? Would they fit? I saw where a local Vette club member (or two) added the plastic C6Z06 'mud flaps' to a C5 - looked okay, but not a perefect fit (IMO). |

There are a few companies making modified ZR1 parts for C5's. There is a local one that I am considering going with for the front splitter and side skirts.

Re: Opinions on changing my Z06 (PICS)
You do know those wheels are narrower than your stock wheels. 1" narrower up front, .5" in the rear. I would not recommend that, up front stay with 18x9.5 or 10, rear 19x11. You need Flares if you jump up to 12" wide.
I own an '04 Millenium Yellow Z06, looking for wheels in those sizes as well...
