The chat should be up by around October 12th. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: AF Community Chat - temporarily being removed
The chat is back on, but please bear with us as we sort out the kinks. Please let me know here what issues you observe. Please be detailed as possible and with screenshots if possible. Thanks!

Re: AF Community Chat - temporarily being removed
ok, the names eventually show but then room seems to reset and everyone goes back to guest also when you type even if name shows on side of chat it shows when you type as guest. lot of the member pics aren't loading. no option for mods to clear room chat if some posted spam or offensive material. when you type in main room its not showing up on popup window

Re: AF Community Chat - temporarily being removed
Thanks. These problems are all related to user sessions. The sessions are getting cut off when bouncing between webservers that are serving the content. Working on it.

Re: AF Community Chat - temporarily being removed
So how do we turn off the chat feature permanently? At least with the last version we could turn it off for 30 days. Now it's on every time I come back to the site.

How is it bothering you? is anything popping up? You can click the "Hide Chat" button on the bottom right which will hide the toolbar for the session.

Re: AF Community Chat - temporarily being removed
The whole bar pops up across the bottom of the screen. I know I can click to close it, but I have to do that every single time I come back to this site. Before this upgrade we could turn off the chat for 30 days before it would turn itself back on. That was at least workable.
What I'm looking for is a way to turn it off and have it stay off. I have zero desire to use this chat feature and would like to be able to turn it off and have it stay off. |

Re: AF Community Chat - temporarily being removed
Understood. I will create a style that doesn't have the chat feature built in. Will post here when done.

Re: AF Community Chat - temporarily being removed
hopefully when you get the chat room done it will be like before and show who is actually in the chat room and restore the moderator controls
