2003 Outlander Remote programming
Need instructions on how to program the remotes on a 03 Outlander. I believe there's two pins that need to be jumped (1 and 4 I believe) on a data port. Where is the data port? Found two connectors under the steering column, just to the right but didn't know which was which. Thanks in advance.

Re: 2003 Outlander Remote programming
It has 16 pins and is shaped like /====\ roughly lol. Anyway, not sure which two pins to jump. Step 1- insert key, don't turn it or anything. Step 2- jump the pins. Step 3- push the hazard switch 6-10 times, the doors will lock then unlock once you hit it the right number of times ending with the hazards off. Step 4- hold any button on the remote for 1-2 seconds then let off count to 1 then push it a couple more times until the doors lock and unlock. If you have a second remote repeat step 4 with it.

Re: 2003 Outlander Remote programming
Thank you RahX. Your description confirmed the plug, and yes it is jumper pin 1 and 4.
Took a couple tries as we forgot the most important step.... key must be in ignition in order for procedure to work. |
