Racing Videos, Slips, Pictures (Civic 99 SiR, Lt1, GM 2.2, 1.8T)
Last Saturday I went track racing, it was one of my last times. Gonna sell my car if i get accepted into an american university, so just going to fix all the dents and sell it in a good condition. It has been the funnest track day ever, lots of cool races. I did weight reduction in order to accomplish my best time at 5400 feet above sea level with a hot climate. Took of the spare tire, tools, jack, back seats and passenger seat. I made my best run, I concentrated and I was facing the christmas tree with nobody on the other side, alone, which takes off the reaction time pressure. I reved my engine up to 6700 Rpms and feathered the clutch, didnt dump it, my wheels barely spun, only a chirp. I accomplished a 16.647. So from all the different techniques ive tried feathering the clutch with no spin at high rpms is the fastest way. Most people just dump the clutch.
Theres my two time slips, i ran constant 16.6, 16.7s. I raced some nice cars and was surprised to beat some of them. I raced a Ford Lobo Harley Davidson pickup truck which i believe has a 4.6 supercharged LT1 engine producing 360 horsepower (around that) These `totally ghetto guys came up to me in their pimpin harley davidson pick up truck ready to blast me. Didnt count on my driving techniques, and I got the truck by about 2 cars. I beat a supercharged V8 with a high revving 1.6 NA honda engine. Theres the video SiR vs Ford Lobo I also raced a Seat Leon 1.8T (Spanish car company owned by VW) The car was a 03 model and it has the exact same engine as the Golf 1.8 turbo. 1.8 liter turbo 180 horsepower 6 speed. I took him three out of four times, so proud of that race. Race at day > 1.8 t vs SiR Race at night (pimpin with neons and strobes) Race 1.8T night I also raced a Chevrolet Astra GSI. Same as american cavalier z24 with the 2.2 liter 145 hp engine. I didnt drive that well, but i still took the NA 2.2 liter by 2 cars and a half. 2.2 liter 145 hp My other race was against a 2000 civic SiR, had some bolt ons, i am stock and i fucked him. SiR EBP VS SiR VSM A video of my car at night with neons and stobes on. Neons Strobes Those were my interesting races. Some times that stock cars are pulling on my city are as follow: Mustang GT 98 16.8-17.0, Mustang GT 2003 15.9, Camaro V8 15.7. There were also some nice cars. A guy had a 2003 GT mustang he was pulling 15.9-16.0 and when he sprayed 100 Shot he said, he was pulling 13.8. Damn such a difference. Some pictures: My ride after the track at my house My ride at the track parking lot a friend on the pic A BMW 7 series v-12 20 inch crome rims at the track, running (mid 14s) A mercedes 55L amg with 20 inch chrome rims, runnin high 12s An Audi S6, Mustang and mercedes (audi S6 runin low 15s) I videotaped, passed it to the computer, posted, took pictures everything so you guys could see it. Is this a GREAT post or what? Peace, MEXSIR

Uh! The "ghetto" guys were dumba$$es and so were you. That wasnt a race, that was humiliating. You dont race a truck. your better than that. Ford makes the best trucks, but their not meant to race. Bet you wouldnt race my cousins F-150 Lightning. Would you!? Be real. Have a nice day.

hmm...
the lightning and harley trucks have the same motor, with s/c on them. it's not an lt1. it's a 5.4 ford motor. you don't race a truck? why? what's wrong with that? why is he a dumbass... you really need to consider what you're saying before you run your mouth. some people here happen to know just a tad bit more than you do |

Obviously you dont know about trucks. The Ford Lightning and the Harley have the same engine. Yes you are right, but, guess how much heavier it is vs the Lightning. The distribution of the weight of the Lightning is 20% better than that of the Harley which means a better take off. Meaning, you would never beat the lightning. Lightning being stock and your's even being turboed. Civic's are trash. Everyone has one. Everyone hookes them up. Your's just happens to be alot slower than most. I would beat your Civic with my old 91 intgra LS. And trust me, my dad races for a living. Guess what i do!!!

But, I still believe my stock car will be faster than the lightning...since I can now beat some Cobras.

Well k2dogg86 is a complete idiot. My guess is that he is a 14-15 year old who want to drive his dads mustang v6 thinking its the best sport oriented car in the world.
Civics are trash. Hahaha...I laugh at you, you are so ignorant k2dogg86. Ignorant. The Harley can beat me in long distances, I street raced one and it beat me by 2 trucks up to 100 mph. In the 1/4 mile it was a different story. Racing trucks is stupid? k2dogg86 is stupid. (Dont come back talking nonsense, go play need for speed)

where are these numbers from son? and, heads up bro ham. they're 5.4 liter motors. the lightning makes 380hp now. originally made 360. the harley makes 360. i don't know anything about trucks? except that i have a job centered on them, and know (quite obviously) more than you do about them... civics are trash. you, my friend, are a seriously biased import hater. you'd beat his car with your old 91 teg LS. right. now you're just sounding MORE stupid than you already are. get your facts straight before you start spouting numbers. it's really not that hard, considering they're on FORD'S website. |

Turbo850 you obviously dont know shit. Heard of altitute, hot climate, dense air?
Go to howstuffworks.com and do some research on how altitude and temperature affects a car performance. Yes I can take mustangs GTs 98 or earlier years. They pull very close to 17s. New ones pull very high 15s, they are automatic stupid...!!! now strategies required to race an automatic. I do the quarter mile in 15.3 at sea level and 16.6 in my city, so ADD around 1.4 seconds and youll get your numbers asshole! Mustang high mid 14s plus 1.3 seconds equals high 15s... Stupid people. They always have to show up.
