07 Accord SE tire cupping question
I bought a 2007 Accord a year ago with some Bridgestone Potenza tires on it. The car has 67,000 miles on it now. We have put 19,000 miles on it since we bought it. I was rotating the tires and noticed cupping on the tires. I did a tread depth check and decided to get new tires.
I have always used Michelins with good luck so I bought 4 more. I have also heard cupping usually means struts need to be replaced. I have a 2005 Accord Ex with 140,000 miles and have not seen this cupping problem on that car. Any thoughts? |

Re: 07 Accord SE tire cupping question
I have 67,000 miles on Accord SE and was rotating Bridgstone Potenzas. This is my daughters car and when I was driving it the tires were loud even with radio turned up. I noticed 2 of the tires were cupping. I checked the tread depth and decided to get new Michelins. I personally have had good luck with Michelins. I am not sure what to do next to find out what was causing those tires to cup.
Not sure if it is a strut problem. Does cupping occur on any wheel or fronts only? 67,000 miles doesnt seem like a lot of miles but I have read some internet stories where people have had to change them with this kind of mileage. Do fronts wear out sooner than rears? Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks |
