Hey Guys

I would like to introduce myself, I'm 18 and I'm currently go to Atlantic Tech Center here in South Fla. for collision repair. I graduate in a week.. Boy it's been awhile. I need one more point to become I-Car Platinum certified. And I will be testing for ASE the next time around (I forgot the date) already signed up.

My dad also owns a body shop down here in South Fla, so that's also been good to me as well. I look forward to learning more here on this site, and hope to provide people with help as much as I can. I do have some pics of work I recently did, but let me know if you guys would be interested!

Thanks!

Re: Hey Guys

Welcome to the forum. I am a WyoTech graduate as well. I teach collision repair at Butler Community College. Our students receive I-CAR point while attending the program. What all classes did you all take. I took collision/refinish and management.

I look forward to hearing more from you. Please share any useful info. with us. I would be interested in your pics as well. Which campus did you attend?

Re: Hey Guys

That is awesome! They did not have some of those classes when I attended. I would have loved to taken them.

I'm 18 btw. I've learned so much, I couldn't explain it.
All work pictures was done by ME. I would never try to take credit for someone else's work. Anyway, this whole week I've had the paint gun in my hand. So here goes, mistakes and all.
First car of the week. 2008 VW (Silver) Repainted the Left QP.
There was a hole here in which I repaired.

Uh-Oh, I ran the blending solvent.

But! That's what wet sandpaper's for!

Wetsanded and buffed one of the customers' tail lights.

Finished

Next up
Lexus RX, (Old one) White Pearl.
Repainted Entire Right side except fender.
Boy, this color was tough to match.

Sorry no pictures of the damage. Or any other pics of it finished, was pressed for time!!

Next
09 Mercedes Benz
Black (OB)
Repainted bottom portion of Left Quarter
Previous student who worked on it left it in a mess the day before, so I walked in, took a picture and got to work.
He didn't show up the next day. (You snooze I win) :woot:

Those specs are not dirt, just the flash from the camera

The dog leg had not one ounce of orange peel. Was very happy. impin:

I really hope you guys enjoyed them!
If anyone has any questions about body work/Paint, let me know. I'll try my best to help!

Re: Hey Guys

Most likely, but I'll find a job somewhere in case.
Nothing to lose obviously, lol.
And as for not blending into the fender, the damage was in the quarter and Rear door. And a ding on the front door (near rear door) So color was dusted in that area.. And the whole front door was cleared. Color was not applied to the whole thing.
