93 LT1 Suspension

Hello all, I have a 93 LT1 and I am noticing a rubbing noise coming from the rear drivers side wheel, I took the tire off and I noticed a small shiny spot about the size of a 1/2 dollar coin on the upper inside wheel wall, I don't want to bring it in to the shop yet if it's something I can do at home. My first thought is to change out the shocks, I havent done anything yet. Any opinions or advise would be greatly appreciated.

We need to find the part which is coming into contact with the worn spot. Unless it's the tire; then check the tire size. Is it a 315? 335?

Re: 93 LT1 Suspension

Hello cbec, thanks for the response. I'm not sure what size tires are on it. I'll check and post it. I am pretty sure it's the tire that's hitting. We had the tires put on a few years ago and this just started last year so I think it's something other than or in addition to the tires alone. I'll get the tire size and try to post a picture of the worn spot.

Thanks again, Sven
