Question about HLJ
I am wondering.. Because I have recieved stuff from other websites, and HLJ is the only place I had to pay for it?
Do you have to pay for your HLJ when you recieve it? |

You won't get you stuff from them until you pay beforehand.

Hmm.. maybe I should re-phrase ..
I ordered from HLJ.. I payed for the product.. I payed for the shipping.. But when the "MAILMAN" arrived at my door I had to pay an extra $21.36 CND for $108.91 CND. Do I have to pay him? Because I thought I already payed for it. It says I have to pay for the GST/HST/TPS/TVH the PST - TVP and handling fees. Didn't I already pay that when I payed for my stuff on HLJ? |

Re: Question about HLJ
yeah most other countries have to pay customs tax when recieving out of country packages except for those of us in the States. you can get around it by marking it as a gift, but from what i heard they cracking down on those too. if its shipped by EMS its more likely to taged but regular parcels theres a lower chance of getting caught. oh theres also brokerage fees too, im not sure if its the same. but when i sent a package to Canada the other person asked me to send it via USPS instead of UPS because they charge a huge brokerage fee.

Re: Question about HLJ
As the others have mentioned, you were charged import taxes due to the high value of goods. This is not HLJ's fault.
Sometimes (in the UK at least) parcels seem to bypass customs and just get delivered directly. It depends on the courier. |

You should check out Canada's importing laws, here in the UK I don't think you get any customs on orders under £18, so I tend to order in small groups and they customs officers don't bother with small orders.
