SAFETY RECALL News
"Honeywell/Allied Signal is recalling FRAM® G3727 Fuel Filters that were manufactured in Mexico from October 18, 2005 through March 21, 2006 by one of our suppliers. The affected filters are marked with (i) a date code X52911 through X60801 sequentially or code X600141 and (ii) a Mexico country of origin. The code and country of origin markings appear on the filter housing, as shown above. FRAM G3727 Fuel Filters not bearing a date code in this range or that were manufactured other than in Mexico are not affected by this recall.
The subject filters were not manufactured to Honeywell specifications and, as a result, the “O” ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line. This condition may cause an inadequate seal at this connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak (i.e., wetting or dripping) and possible vehicle fire. If you own the affected product, please return it to the retailer or installer from whom you purchased the filter for a replacement filter."
