Newbie saying "Hi" - pics of me and car inside:
Alright - don't laugh and all now... I just wanted to say "Hi" to all of ya's, and show you guys what I drive and what I look like. Keep in mind that these are VERY crappy pics, as they do NOT do justice for this immaculate car .

Hehe... (again) Welcome to AF!
I like your car. Nice wheels. How many people change lanes to get out of your way 'cause they think you're a cop? :hehehe: |

Welcome!
Great pics, are those red and white flowers? or something else? It's good to see some people are not shy to introduce and post pics of themselves, especially new people Props to you for that. How about we turn this thread into a "post a pic of yourself" topic? We've done this couple of times before, but it was some time ago, so let's see some new faces! Here's mine:

Also, MercCougarXR7, don't forget to add a pic of yourself to your profile, if you haven't already. |

Thanks for the warm welcome guys - I think I like this site . I'm not a shy person, so I don't mind posting my pic in the least - but if I was any uglier... Those are burgendy and chrome flowers on the car, as it was my little sister's wedding car 2 weeks ago. She wouldn't let me use black ones though, but I kinda liked how they looked on it. I even drove around the week after with one on my antenna ! As for people moving out of my way - I wish. The car doesn't look coppish, and I try to make it look as little like a cop car as possible. But, there are a few people who have accused me of trying to make my car look coppish. Really though, an old, Black, Mercury (not a Ford), no CB antennas, custom wheels, oodles of chrome - yeah, I'm trying to make it look like a cop car . That wasn't directed at you Silver, I just am recalling that one idiot who accused me of being an impersonator... I do drive like a cop sometimes though - a few weeks ago, I was just coming and getting up to speed on the ramp onto the 401 when I seen a cop wizz by with lights and sirens going. He was doing about 150 kph, and I tailed him a few hundred feet back - no cars jumped between us as he was clearing his path. That lasted all of 3 minutes, until he moved onto the paved shoulder to get past some ignorant tourists who were to absorbed in their travel itineraries to acknowledge the big white car with flashing lights and screaming siren... Oh well, it was fun driving that fast while it lasted !

My dad-in-law is an ex-sheriff, and he drives a Crown Vic with a bunch of antennas. It totally looks like a gov't car!
I personally have learned the look of the Crown Vic's (and its sister car's) headlights from a time when my registration wasn't paid. Nice and easy, I'd change lanes in the opposite direction. A motorcycle cop eventually got me for it. |
