dude go with the n/a or go with a z31 turbo. both are about equally as fast. at 16 years old you dont need much more power than a n/a 300zx. if you want more power just throw some nitrous on it. when you turn 18 and you decide that you want more power just save up a few thousand dollars and due an engine swap. also, consider this...n/a 300zx 5 speed 2 seater can easily run high 14's with just a few mods. high 14's ables you to take out 95% of the cars on the road. i have seen guys running mid 14's and better with an n/a.
bottom line...buy the sexy z32 n/a and then when you get them money just do some basic mods.

Well at 16 for a Z32 TT your going to pay a arm and a leg and your first born child in insurance. For the NA you will only pay a arm and leg.

Re: N/A 300zx or SVT Contour
What would you rather own a 300zx? A a 16 year old with taste in cars and not going to make it "bad ass" with the largest wing and goofiest body kit. Or someone who is going to completey trash the car with all sorts of retarded things and bring the 300zx name down. I won't wreck mine either I have respect for machinerary. Go RICE.

this forum is all about big wings and just making your car look fast...go take a look at that shogun kit they make for the z32. tis hot shit son.
anyways...yeah go z man. i dont think a z32 is too much for a 16 year old that has experience with cars. i think it would be a little overwhelming for a z32 to be driven by a girl that the closest she has been behind the wheel of a car is a battery powered barbie corvette. good luck and dont let anything scare you away from what you really want. if you want a contour, buy a contour. if you want a z buy a z.

Re: N/A 300zx or SVT Contour
Dude...if you're 16 and buy a Z32TT, you'll kill yourself...I promise...at the VERY least, you'll drive the car into the ground and kill IT instead. Do NOT buy that fast of car...for the love of cars and everyone else on the roads...you'll be a lethal weapon with a car of that caliber. Get a Z31 N/A or 2+2...great starter car, will run forever with minimal maintanence, cheap and easy to get ahold of, less on insurance, and it'd be a bit tougher to kill yourself in. One reason I say what I say...I've been there...Z31 2+2 was my first car and I regret selling it to this day. Get one of those, put a killer system in it, maybe do some suspention mods, keep it clean and save money for when you get older, smarter and less insane on the road.

I'm of the opinion to buy the TT, upgrade it to "Mid-level tactical nuclear warhead" territory and go to hell happy.
But I'm off my nut so don't listen to me. I'm bad for you.

Re: N/A 300zx or SVT Contour
yeah, broke should have a "hazardous to your health" sign tagged on all his posts... just as a safety procaution.. i learnt on an acura 1.6 el... it's pretty speedy for a grocery getter, but i had no problem learning on it... now it's no rwd nuclear powered rocket, but... aw hell i don't know where i'm going with this...
anyway, don't start off with the tt... find a nice z32 n/a... get used to driving it, learn all the ins and outs of rwd and such... then either sell the n/a and buy a tt or get a front clip from wessy and do the swap... either way, get used to the car before you put the foot to the floor... and whatever you do.. please don't destroy it with the huge ass wings and ass ugly body kits.. our z's are rare enough as it is..
