97 PA-Driver Power Window and Window Lock

The driver power window button does not function, up or down or auto.

I checked the window motor by running 12v directly to it and was able to raise the window, so do not have to worry about rain now.

But my main question is how do you determine if the master driver side module part #25636848 (the black module that contains the power mirror, all power windows and window lock function-approximately 1 3/4" x 6 1/2" in size) or the Driver Door Module part#25637881 is the faulty part?

Also for your info the window lock led functions (on/off) when you push it, but it does not keep the other windows from moving up or down. In other words, it too does not work but the led does.

When I push the driver window button, only a faint clicking sound can be heard in the Driver Door Module but this is only heard with the door panel removed.

I have volume 1 of the service manual but do not have volume 2.

If anyone has volume 2, I would appreciate if you would look in section 8A-120 and list the steps necessary to troubleshoot this problem.

I had this same problem, only my window was in the down position. I visited a wrecking yard and got the control module and a replacement power module. I first tried the control module (it was easiest) and it didn't make any difference. I then installed the power module from a 99 PA, it rolled my driver window up and down beautifully. I took the control module back and headed for home, a few blocks down the road, I decided to roll the front passenger widow down. It wouldn't work, nor would any except the driver widdow. I went back and got another module which I have not tried yet. I'm just happy right now to be able to keep the rain out. the power module I had is exactly the same number as yours, good luck on finking one if this other one works, I will post it.
