Hasegawa Porsche 944 Turbo

The Hasegawa Porsche 944 Turbo kit built straight out of the box. The kit is typical of the era for Hasegawa, though does have full engine detail; I chose to do it closed-bonnet. Colour is an automotive silver.

Cheers,
Grant.

Nicely done Grant!
The older kits can also be nice subjects, you see!

Good looking build!

The 944 is a favourite of mine. How was the kit, any trouble? Was the engine problematic? I have the Revell reboxing of this kit, it's definitely one I'm looking forward to doing.

The kit is really quite nice to build. The most recent build I did without doing the full engine detail; more out of laziness and a realisation that I never show engine bays of finished models other than the initial photos! The racing version I built many years ago with full engine detail and it went together well. The rear wing is moulded in, so requires some masking, but the rear bumper is a separate item. Getting the front lights to work properly, i.e. pop up and down, is a bit of a faff, but nothing you could not handle.

This particular kit was the Revell rebox and comparing it to an original issue Hasegawa kit in my stash shows them to be the same.

Cheers,
Grant.
