How loud are you?
This forum needs some livening up
How many of you are into big systems and have competed? I personally have only competed in one show and took 3rd in my class. At that time my car hit 142.5 dB. My class was in Stock 301-600. |

Nope, I have never competed. I don't car about how many dbs mu system can put out, I know it is a good ammount. All I care about is it sounding crisp and clear, and that is with a highs, mids, and bass.

What kind of stuff are you using?
I have Morel separates, Concept subs n amps, and Kenwood head unit & changer. I am not big into competition myself. I took my car in once since the show was held at a shop 2 miles from my house. Thought it would be fun just to see how my system did. After that experiene though makes me glad I never went full-fledged into competiton. |

I know a thing or two about systems. I used to be heavily into them, before i got into performance. I had in my last system, 2 Kicker Competition 12's, 3 Rockford Fosgate amps about 400w each, 2 6x9 Pioneer Priemere's for mid, 2 Pioneer Priemere 5 1/4 installed in custome kick panel and 2 Rockford Fosgate tweeters mounted in top of dash. This was all controlled by a Boston Acoustic crossover and at the time a Jensen Headunit. This was all in a Blazer.

I have always had good luck with Kenwood headunits and have been partial to them. I am hoping to get one of the MP3 player headunits pretty soon. Alex has one in his Jetta and he loves it.

Running a Kenwood head unit with MB Quart 6" and 6"x9" in the front and rear, and Orion 12" sub, and a kenwood 300 watt amp. Simple yet great sounding.

I use to run 2 of the MTX Blue Thunder Legends..they were silver with the blue logos....the best looking subs they put out IMO. I don't care for their new design....looks kinda cheep now.
