Help Maybe

Have a 5 speed 98 Eclipse GS that my 14yr purchased with a blown motor for his 1st car. I drive it a few miles every week. Replaced the motor from and automatic donor car. When u start and shut off the car it has a high rev. It also makes a surging sensation when you are at speed in all gears. Also when in traffic and you are creeping along it wants to buck hard. Is there something that is missing from automatic to manual motor? All vacum lines appear to be hooked up. Thanks

Re: Help Maybe

it might have a different idle control solenoid or a bad one or you set the throttle cable to tight and its pulling on the throttle plate lever

Re: Help Maybe

It's when you start up will rev high then go to normal idle. It does it when you start it up and when you shut if down. It almost feels and sounds like a vacum line but tested it and it is not leaking down any.
