Hyundai Odometer reading
I am working on a pet project involving reading the odometer value from the vehicle CAN bus. I've been struggling to find the odometer on a Elantra Touring 2011, does anyone have any hint as to where I could find the Service and PID for this vehicle ?
Thanks. |

Re: Hyundai Odometer reading
Do you have a copy of the IEEE spec for OBD-II and the CAN bus? I'm not sure if odometer value is one of standard parameters that would have the PID# defined or not, but that might be a place to start.

Re: Hyundai Odometer reading
I went through the IEEE and ETI documentations, the odometer (mileage) is not a mandated PID for OBD-II. It is a manufacturer specific PID unfortunately.

Bummer. I don't guess that I'm going to be able to help.
