couple questions i couldnt find in FAQ

First:
ncan i do my decals then clear coat over the decal or shud i clear coat then add decals

Second:
were can i find aftermarket parts like new tires and wheels, and small detail things. i looked at scale auto style but not much there for what i am looking for. i want small details that set the car off, decals, racing seats, harnesses, new rims, motor parts, that stuff? but were?

Third:
Black window triming? do i just mask off the body and then brush the window trim? or spray paint? and how can i get into the small door gaps and things?

I just got back into more Serious modeling. i have been modeling for about 7 years or so but found other things came in the way, so now i am back into adding more detail make more realistic things.

Thanks any help will work

Re: couple questions i couldnt find in FAQ

numbers 2 should be in the FAQ http://www.hlj.com, and 3 should be in the how-to place... number 1 has been asked before, the best way is to clear, polish, decal, then clear again if i'm not wrong...

1. Decals first, then Clear
2. Hobby Link Japan
3. There are numerous tutorials on window trim. Check the Tutorials thread by Jay up at the top, and check page 2 or three for a masking tutorial that explains window trim.

Also, thanks for learning to spell better, on other forums you have butchered many words.

You need to learn to read.

Those questions are covered in the FAQ and How To threads.

King of the useless threads aren't you!

See? I quit coming here so often (I don't post here much anymore, if anyone hasn't noticed) because of members acting that way. It's bad when a moderator does that though. I think it's a little uncalled for.

Re: couple questions i couldnt find in FAQ

I can awnser some questions.

For window trim.. Mask and brush paint.. Or mask the whole car and spray. I preferr brush, As I don't have to mask the whole car..

Decals, I add decal's. Then clear coat over them, BUT make sure the clear coat is compliant with the decal's, I know Dupli-Color will melt them.. Ive heard Tamiya will too.

After market part's, Check out www.detailmaster.com

Hope this help's a little.

it is a useless thread and i totaly agree with ray. every thing you need to know is in the faq and how to's section. maybe after you get these kind of replies a few times you will lear to open your eys and look around, you will see that these questions are covered everywhere on this board. and if you cant find it in the faq or how to's, then theres a thing called a search function. sorry to rant, but i come to af to see intresting model subjects not lots of useless questions cuz someone is lazy. sorry to the mods for causeing any kind of trouble with this post. but if it where me i whould lock and delete this used up space.
