Replacing Tranni-Torque Shaft "Coupler"

Its a 1985.5 944 NA 5speed Was wondering what the going rate on those badboys is. Are they made of stainless...no, cant be cuz its got tac welds...well would it be difficult to cut? Im sure its made of some alloy but i need to get a replacement...

steel why are you replacing it??... also you have to drop the trans axle down a bit... no need to remove just drop down a bit .
