'01 Alero SES Lt. & No Temp. & Fans Come On
Have been having an intermittent issue with fans coming on and the temp gauge isn't registering at all when this occurs. I have replaced the temp. sender in the past, and that did the trick for a while, but today it happened again, coupled with the SES light.
Just as a point of information, have had an issue with the whole blinking security light, gone through the whole reset routine. Now the security light stays on all the time, but I can start and run the car without issue. Could it be the PCM or can these issues be solved seperately? BNaylor, I'd appreciate your input in particular. Thanks, Mike |

Welcome to AF.
You might try this link to test the sensor and circut. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=660655 It could also be one of the relays stuck open. Thier is also issues with corrosion in the fuse boxes, especialy the fan/ac relays for some reason. Hope that helps.
