Re: i would buy a festiva if anyone wants to sell one for around $100.

I NEED a festiva.
I was looking at a buddy's festiva last week, and it occurred to me that I could really use one.

Anyone in the San Diego area looking to part with or dispose of a a ford festiva? Know someone who is? If you have a lead, e-mail me!

Re: i would buy a festiva if anyone wants to sell one for around $100.

The Festiva (better known worldwide as the Mazda 121) were sold in the States from 1988-1993. They came only with a 1.3-liter SOHC 8V four-cylinder - early models had carburetors, later ones were fuel-injected. Five-speed manual (recommended) or three-speed automatic (avoidable) transmissions were fitted.

And no, they don't sell for much these days. But there's a growing trend among performance fans to stuff Protege or 323 engines in that tiny chassis - most of the mounts and harnesses bolt right up.

also in early 88-89 a Four-Speed manual was standard and the Five-Speed was an option on LX models in 89 along with Fuel Injection before it was fully switch over as standard in 1990...

they ARE cheap but have a pretty good cult following... www.fordfestiva.com has all the answers there...
