Re: So U Wanna Drift?

You know the original poster of this thread sent me a PM saying RX-8's arent good for drifting because the throttle response sucks, uhhhh that sounds straight out of F&F3 where the chick was saying there is something wrong with the throttle respose....Has he never heard of Rod Millen? Granted rod is using a swapped motor, but it is still an RX-8. Also there is Tsuchiya who drifted the RX-8 easily with no complaints in his best motoring video.

Thank you, and I was telling him that I own a RX-8 and I would know first hand how the car takes to drifting and hard corners. If this guy tested one for that maybe he got a base model where he wasnt able to turn off the traction control.

Evo? Cavalier? Scion? Why would you think those would be good? FWD, AWD, unless you're F&F 3, go rwd

Re: So U Wanna Drift?

A good place to drift is an indoor karting track, the surface is so slippery that the kart fishtails whenever you apply full throttle. I'm right because the definition of drifting means to break the traction of the tires...and there's almost no traction at an indoor place.

Re: So U Wanna Drift?

yeah but most tracks that let you drive their carts will not have carts good enough for that

i got my ex's truck sideways. well, sort of. i gave to too much throttle turning onto the highway and the tail swung out about a foot.

I've done that before, but I wouldn't drift it intentionally, mine is too high to drift without tipping over.

Re: So U Wanna Drift?

must be really high up there or a short bed b/c i had a long bed that was alot of fun drifting around the bad part is finding good winding roads in southern iowa. so half the time u just have to settle with snow cover and intersections.

The sheer level of misinformation in this thread sets a new AF record....

That is all.
