which year?

i'm new to nismo, i'm getting ready to sell my little crx and jump into an SE 5 speed maxima . i'm just wondering which year to buy. 96 and below or 97 and higher? i was thinking about spending 4500 on a turbo but i thought harder and decided not to, so anyone who thinks either year is better, shout out please cause i'm a noobie. Also what is a good price for a good condition 97 maxima? thanks guys and girls

4th Gen

Sounds like what you are looking for is a 4th Gen Max.
This version of the car is VERY similar from 95-99.
Pick any of these years and you should be happy.

the only difference is the trim, in 95-96 the tail lights are different and are harder to get a set of red clears, the front bumper is also different, not much else though

Re: which year?

why not go with a 5th gen 3.0. It looks nice and doesnt weight that much compared to the 4th gen and got lots of parts available for it

Re: Re: which year?

well, i had a 95 se 5 speed that i loved and would buy again in a heartbeat once my new car is paid for. it only weighed 2895 lbs according to the resgistration and after an intake exhast and y pipe i was a damn bullet. BTW i have a budget y pipe unused and for sale for a 4th gen. if you want an extra 17 peak hp and 18 lbs/ft torque to your new car lemme know
