Re: buying a conquest soon

If it has the 2.6 mitsubishi engine in it and a manual hell yeah! After a rebuild with good parts you could easily get 300 horsepower out of it. I have a 1986 dodge caravan with the 2.6 mits and I rebuilt it with 10-1 compression ratio, a buick grand national turbo, total seal gapless rings,a special ground turbo cam,and it put out over 300 horses at 24 psi boost with methonal injection. I blocked off the waste gate and the boost went to 42 psi and grenaded the motor due to detonation. O well. I have all the pieces rebuilt again and hope to put it back together again. But I think I will go for electronic fuel injection instead of the blow thru carb set up.you would love to see a mini van with a stock torque converter and stock gears blow the front tires off and haul ass
