Unhappy blow main fuse

ok so i was driving down the high way and everything just shut off i get out i check everything battery cables, plug wires and then i find the main fuses is blown, i put a new one in and pop there goes number two, tow the car home rip everything apart trace every wire from the fuse box and there all good, change the battery terminals cleaned everything all up put in another fuse pop there goes number three so now im at a stand still i don't know what to do if anybody has any ideas please let me hear it cause i want my baby back

Remove the blown main fuse. Connect a test light in its place. Normally with no voltage in the circuit the light would not be lit. Obviously there is a short to ground in the circuit so the light should be lit. When you disconnect either the component or circuit which is shorted the light will go out.
Remove the alternator harness and see if the light goes out. If the light goes out, the alternator is shorted....R & R. If the light stays lit, reconnect the alternator and pull one fuse at a time until the light goes out....when it does, that is the circuit that has the short.
