Upper inside door panel's Gen 2

I got upper door panel's that flop in when i shut my door's.
I pulled the door panel's and theirs a Stud glued to the panel and a reversed speed nut holding it to the inside door panel.
These reversed speed nut's are impossible to remove on this 98 LTZ but i was able to make a tool to remove them from my 95 Base and after i destroyed every one on the 98 to get them off i was able to glue the the ones off the 95 on with 2 part epoxy.
But in 2 day's the upper panel's have came loose again i suspect the epoxy didn't hold up.
Has anyone got a better fix for this?
I did a search here and it came up with nothing.
Thank's Scott.

Re: Upper inside door panel's Gen 2

If I recall correctly, the panels are a kind of compressed fiberboard, but the trim is ABS and the plastic studs are simply molded into them. I've had those fail as well, and used a plastic welder instead of any kind of adhesive. Those "inside-out" speed nuts are a treat, aren't they? I've used small lock ring pliers to grip those internally and spin them out.

Hey Blue Bowtie.
Copy that on the reversed speed nut's. The 95 had smaller one's that i was able to fab a tool that's 7/16 hex from a all thread coupler and a little filing of the flat's to make it fit the reversed speed put's.
The 98's were alot bigger.
I see these panel's for sale on e-bay and they don't have the Plastic stud's on them.
I'll give a plastic welder a try.
Thank's, Scott
