Re: Aprilia RS Cube '04 1/12 scratchbuild
Hi,
I have 2 questions: 1. What resin are you using for casting the pieces? 2. Are you using a vacuum chamber for casting? I see that the casting is quite clean, without air bubbles. Thanks, Dan |

Re: Aprilia RS Cube '04 1/12 scratchbuild
Hi Dan
1. What resin are you using for casting the pieces? I use polyurethane resin look at this http://www.feroca.com/productos_deta...co_producto=91 (sorry is in spanish) 2. Are you using a vacuum chamber for casting? I see that the casting is quite clean, without air bubbles. I do not use vacuum chamber, but i inject the resin with a fine needle Ok.. look the mold of the piece - To fill the mold 1 of resin - Put the other mold (2) in the mold (1) Anyhow i will make soon a how to Bye!! |

Re: Aprilia RS Cube '04 1/12 scratchbuild
Thanks Roca for the link/info. Can you give me more details about the properties of the resin (like pot life, viscosity etc.)? Eventually we can take it offline if the others are not interested.
Thanks, Dan |

Re: Aprilia RS Cube '04 1/12 scratchbuild
Inspiring! I have a lot of ideas that would be solved with resin molding but I don't have the guts... I really like watching you do it though.
MORE PICTURES, MORE PICTURES!!! /Joel

I'm was thinking in styerene... any ideas?? This is the version that i will do but with the No 99 (and if everything is OK maybe i will do the No 67) I hope to see your opinions about the frame.. materials... Bye! |
