Re: need quick question answered!!!

Leave the entire PCV system stock. Do not cap it. You SR guys were gifted with a PCV system that supports boost.LoL Don't screw it up.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it should be throwing so much oil out of there. And a lot of Honda put a little filter over it that you can get at just about any performance store. But I'm not very familiar with the SR so I don't know the best thing to do.

Re: need quick question answered!!!

Do you SR guys have a stock catch can?

Man I swear that valvecover port ran to something...

But a lot of DSM guys use soda bottles for a catch can.

On a side note, no oil comes out of my valvecover and I run the hose towards the ground. You may want to run a compression test. Most blown ring lands result in a gush of oil out of the valvecover breather.

Re: need quick question answered!!!

yea i found my Fing leak...it was right next to the 3 way splitter on the valve cover......so i though the filter i had on there was throwing up oil...go to find out theres a very small hole on the inside of the hose toward the valve cover, that i couldnt see...so i looked and looked for a hole...found it finally and just took some high temp silicone and smeared it over the hole...yea...the soda bottle is ghetto as hell...im in the process of making a catch can like i said before...since greddy's are 80 bucks...and i can make one for like 5$.

Re: need quick question answered!!!

the black smoke was coming from it running way rich...(like someone said) since the intake piping was off, i was getting tons of fuel...no air...so...thus the black smoke...

the SR doesnt have a stock catch can (not to my knowledge anys...never seen one if there is) for the most part my setup looks like the one in the picture, cept i have a T piece off of the valve cover, thus where the one hose runs and the breather was on the other end...since i put the "catch can" on there, and fixed the hose of that small leak...havent seen any oil on my motor...so im happy.

Your talking about the baffle box... early model SR20s dont have those, they just run everything through the intake.

The picture that Nissan Fanatic posted is from an S14... S13s just have the T on the exhaust side of the valve cover, S14s run the crankcase vent into the valve cover, S13s dont.
