I love all corvettes and have for many years but as Vettes come and go the best in my opion is a 79'. The only other to compare is about a 69' double rear-windowed stingray. Back when these babes where built things where meant to last. New vettes are okay but 60'-70' will always be my favorite.

I really love all the vette's
but i can't bring my self to like the C4 model
I respect the ZR-1 and its power but from what i read it does horrible on the track or atleast rides bad.

Almost every magazine i read about the C4 had negative complaints about it (ie: Car&Driver and Motortrend)
so i guess i just put my trust into the professionals.
If anyone has some real good stats about the C4 please tell!!

Other than that i really really like the new C5, especially the Z06 model with its brand new 405hp engine!!!!!!!!

I myself didn't really take much notice of the Corvette until the Z06 came into the market. The reason for this is that the C4 model, in my opinion, does absolutely nothing for me. Several of my friends complain of the harshness of its ride. The say it's much like having reconstructive surgery on your spine. Bleh. To hell with the C4. Forget the past. Look to the future. Long live the C5 Z06. Bring on the extra Horsepower, baybee!

The ZR-1 handles very well. At least as good, if not better, than the C5 coupe and convertible. Of course, it isn't as good as the Z06. I've read skidpad at .93G's. About the ride, you're right, its one of the worst riding cars I've ever been in. The power is awesome, definetly worth the lack in ride. You really need to drive one to know what I'm saying...
Oh yeah, my favorite vette is probably a '66 BB...I don't like the fake intake/stinger on the '67.

I would have to say the c3 mainly because i own one. I garantee that you could pull more women in a stingray than in a zo6. "mainly because women aren't smart enough to know that a zo6 is a corvette.

thats sort of true...more women compliment me on my '79 than they do on my '90. My '90 is a C4 though, and not too many people really like them. I think they know C5's are vettes, they just like the curves better

i love all corvettes, i think the first gens are great looking, and they are really cool when people put late-model drivetrains in them. the mid-year cars are also great loking, plus they are fast as hell. I like the early sharks, but once they got the rubber bumpers and the power levels dropped, they werent very cool anymore (i say this even though my mom has a 77). i hate the look of the eighties cars, but they were groundbreaking for their time. i like the late c4's and the c5s and especially the zo6 are great.

Cool My opinion

C-1 pretty ok car
C-2 The core of what a corvette should be, and my favorite
C-3 don't particularly care for them
C-4 hate 'em ugly
C-5 now we are getting back to a cool corvette. Like the euro styling

:right:

.

Someone in our neighborhood has a beautiful white Corvette I don't know what year it is though. It looks similar to the style of that black one, and thats what I think looks the best. C-5 looks great too that was a good call on design.
