Re: New Sub Recommendations

CBFryman, you're wrong, give it up. The XXX has better sound quality than any of the DD stuff you keep praising, but if you want to get yourself subs whose SQ can't come close to the XXX, that's your business.

Does it matter what kind of port i go with, aero or slot? Will there be a difference in sq or spl?

Bashing DD as a purely SPL company or not a good SQ company is like giving audiobahn praise for having highquality SPL and SQ woofers... i know DD sounds good and so does RE... and RE SQ isnt exactly world renowned either... especially the XXX series which, next to the HF series, is the most used SPL woofer made by RE...just as is the 3500 besides the 9100 and 9500 series...

oooo....that's a good idea, lets get into the "my penis is bigger than yours because I put a sub in some guy's car" argument

The general public doesn't give a rat's ass about sound quality, I don't care how many people you did installs for, chances are less than 1% of them actually care about having a decently flat response and a good, balanced sound. And you have no idea what you're talking about with the XXX, it's one of the most well respected sound quality drivers there is. It has a very very flat response if you give it a decent enclosure, and it has less BL distortion than any sub I am aware of next to the Brahma and W7.

Re: New Sub Recommendations

Also another great sub that nobody is mentioning here are the Image Dynamics and Rockford Fosgate HE2's are rated at 750 rms i believe. These are VERY good SQ. Or any of the R.F. top end subs. All these are no more than 350 each. My friend has 4 10" he2's with 3000 watts in an Acura rsx. He hits a constant 152-155 on the streets!
