'00 solara i4 5sfe - no tension on kickdown cable
Hi people,
can someone tell me how your throttle valve (kickdown) cable feels on your camry/solara ? since some time mine is completely loose (still seems hooked to something on far end). basically i can pull it out a little with fingers and it stays put where i left it (it doesn't go back on its own). is it very bad for transmission (flushed 4 months ago) ? how should this cable feel ? I visited already one ATRA shop and they wanted to fix it upfront for $250. then after they looked at car, touched that cable and had a test drive they said "it runs good, no need to fix it". very confusing! thanks in advance for the help.
