filmpunk18,

No problem. Thank you for taking the time to make the site! I was going to join, but then decided not to buy a Vigor. Another good mod would be the JDM engine, but it is pretty spendy for just 14hp . So do you know if sexygirl ever joined your club?? She sure seemed interested in modding her car.

Re: Vigor

i just sold my vigor. i had a 93 ls 5spd. i bought a JDMspec 200 hp and i think a lil bit higher compression. i made a turbo set up with a t3/t4 turbo. i never got to dyno it or run it on the track but all i have to say is that they have good looks, and they are fast, but you have to havce knowledge of fabrication if you want to hook it up real good. i beat a supercharged GSR integra by atleast 4 car lengths on 87 and right around 8 psi boost. i turned it up to right around 16-17 and beat a z06 vette by a respectable distance. handles very well after a few suspension mods.

Re: Vigor

I've got a 93 vigor that is making an unusually noise that gets louder as I increase speed. Almost as if one of the front wheels was unbalanced but, without the vibration. Any suggestions?

Re: Vigor

my dad had a vigor a couple years back, it had the most mileage ive ever seen on a vehicle with its original engine, he sold it with 580k kms, the owner had it for about a year then sold it to another guy who apparently still drives it.

Re: Vigor

I just bought a Vigor today!!! I am sooo stoked, Cant wait to start working on it. I love it soo much because it has the whole luxury pitch but has alot of accessability for speed. The 92' I bought has 110,000 Miles on it and man, it drives soooo nice! Nicer than my BF's Prelude which it is "Hot HOt HoT!"

Hey Inline - If your vigor is an automatic, maybe you can help.

I'm wondering if your's acts like mine:

I have recently started driving a '92 vigor after replacing the motor - bought it from someone who did'nt understand the importance of red lights on the instrument panel.... oil is not optional.... I know she really hated to get rid of it, but didn't want to deal with the problem of repair.

I really do like the way it runs..... handles well and is very quick.... but I'm surprised about the rpm level that this thing gets to before it shifts. It's usually around 2800 rpm when it shifts. Seems high for normal acceleration. I'm thinking that the shop that stuck in the motor may have missed something.

So - Have you noticed the rpm shift levels to be high in when shifting to 2,3 or 4th gears?

Be careful out there - your little car is invisible those SUV's.

Thanks,
jim

Re: Vigor

I've had my Vigor for about 6 years now... 2800 rpm sounds about right for a shift point. It might shift at about 2000 if I'm accelerating really slowly or 3500-4000 if I accelerate fairly hard. It's always fun to take it up to the red line though.

Re: Vigor

Cookswim, my 60 mph rpm is around 27 to 2800. Does that sound about right?

Re: Vigor

My Vigor is 5speed, so I dont know about the automatic RPM shifting rates. I shift comfortable at about the same with my 5speed when I am just cruising, so I guess it could be right. THats what I get my most smoothest, effortless shift.

Re: Vigor

These cars look pretty neat. How are they on fuel mileage? I'd expect them to be only a little worse than honda's 2.2liter, right? I'm seeing one for sale closeby, so i think i might pick it up..

Re: Vigor
