I bought the transkit when Reji Models released it. I should have bought more than 1!
I saw a couple in this site, but now it is unavailable...You can only find the 205 transkit.

Yep, that's the one I know of also and can never get it. It's a bummer that Reji made it exclusively for Nimpex IMHO.

I know one AF member who has the transkit, will never build it but won't sell it to me

Renaissance intended to release it but it seems they gave up the idea...

They certainly did...and they certainly did
I emailed with Etienne several times about this but he always said the same: "someone else is making the master". Oh well....

Re: WIP...Peugeot 405T16GR

Quick update!

I painted the wheels (semigloss white) and detailed them with separated lugnuts, and rim and tire logos:

I didn´t know if the rim and tire logos were correct, but a mail from Jean-Louis Laine from the Peugeot museum confirmed that the logos are correct for the wheel/tires that were supplied to the Camel team in the 1990 Paris Dakar Rally.

The tire decals had almost no adhesive (this is an old kit), so I had to spray a thin layer of flat clear over the wheels to make the markings look OK.

Now, FINALLY...on to the body!

Awesome!!! I love the "busy" look of the complete assembly.

Thanks, but that is for the 205. I'm looking for that darned elusive 405 kit.

Re: WIP...Peugeot 405T16GR

Before starting the body, I wanted to show you the detail of the spare wheel. I used fabric and photoetched parts to complete the assembly.

Stay tuned!

Look like real...

I'll send you some pics very soon, the ones I thought to are in fact not on my hard drive but in books !
So time to take the pics...
I didn't forget but I've been sick for days so haven't done anything since my last email...

Re: WIP...Peugeot 405T16GR

This looks GREAT...really inspires me to get started on the kit of my own, but I don't want to have 2 kits going at the same time

Keep up the good work!

Re: WIP...Peugeot 405T16GR

Love the attention to detail on the spare wheel! Were they strapped on or bolted onto the rear frame of the car? Either way the straps look better in my opinion! Love it!

How is your body coming along? The decals are a real pleasure to work with on this kit, only one I had issues with was the large Camel one on the front of the car...

The belt is bolted in the frame, in the back of the wheel.

I will have an update tonight! I did some work in the body and I am ready to spray some primer on it!
