1990 b2600i sporadically loses power

1990 B2600i FI 129K miles, I bought the truck as a non runner. It had a bad headgasket. Replaced headgasket and had local shop rebuild head.

The truck seems to idle fine, but every now and then the truck will loss power for a few minutes, but will idle and then return to normal power. It seems to happen when its cold. I replaced the cap and rotor and no improvement.

I just checked the timing and it is correct. It does seem to waver a little. Should it waver a few degrees?

I don't know how long the fuel has been in the tank. I did add berryman but have not tried driving it yet.

Suggestions?
