Online car model shops in USA
Hey everyone, this is my first post here. (Is there a place for introductions?)
I just moved to the States a month ago and was wondering if anyone can point out online model shops in USA or Canada that carry car models and aftermarket (like model car garage). I know there was this shop but the site says they closed down ( http://www.modelexpress.net/cgi-bin/...hop/index.html) . Kind regards, Sven. |

Re: Online car model shops in USA
US based shops I have personally used and am happy to recommend:
Model Empire: http://modelempireusa.com Star Models: http://resinrealm.net/Star/STARModels.html (Steve mostly deal with second hand kits but also sells Model Car Garage photo-etch kits and other accessories) Mega Hobby: http://www.megahobby.com Model Car Garage has their own web store: http://www.modelcargarage.com Detail Master is another well established aftermarket provider: http://www.detailmaster.com +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I have had very bad experience with Internet Hobbies (http://www.internethobbies.com). DO NOT order from them. They list things they don't have in stock and they won't respond to your inquiries until you threaten to report them to Pay Pal, then suddenly the items become not available and they promptly refund your money. I am surprised they are still in business after all these years of terrible services. |

I use Model Roundup for most of my kit purchases online and they also have many aftermarket parts. the prices are good, the service is great and things come very fast.

Re: Online car model shops in USA
I see you are not too far from Minneapolis. There are several good hobby shops in the area, Hub Hobby and Scale Model Supplies are two that I like to visit whenever in the area (will be there this weekend for Nordicon model contest). There are also a couple good model car clubs. Check out http://www.rpmmodelclub.com/ Some great guys.

Macsmodeling.com, stradasportsstore.com (might be a bit slow in replying, though).
Mac's is my choice. |

M&S Hobbies
Scale Hobbyist Strada has been mentioned. E-mail Kevin to check stock before ordering. I personally really like, and have had great dealings with, Strada. You just need to check beforehand. |
