Second Gen Firebird Kit?
Does anyone know of a second generation Firebird kit, preferrably a 71-73 kit? The best I can find is a 69 firebird by Revell, but I would really like an older model. Maybe a 74-78 Camaro? Thanks for any help.

Re: Second Gen Firebird Kit?
Hmm... I'd prefer to have it stock.
But I like their 67 shelby, thanks for the link.

Re: Second Gen Firebird Kit?
That Camaro is a 3-n-1 kit. You can build it as a stocker, a street machine or a drag racer. Also, revell makes a 71 (?) Pontiac Trans Am Firebird.

The 78, while technically a second gen, is not exactly what I was looking for, but its nice. Also, I didn't notice the 3-in-1 Camaro, so I might want to think about picking that one up too. Thanks for all your help, AF modellers

Re: Second Gen Firebird Kit?
The only ones I know of that are possibly readily availible are the AMT kits of the 78 Firebird, and the 79 TATA. The old Monogram 70 Trans Am is still plentiful and could be found on ebay for a decent price. As for the original MPC Firebird/Trans Am annuals though you'll pay big money. All of those kits are near $150 in price, especially 1970-1973.
Their is another company that produces a 1974 Trans Am as well, but I cannot recall who. Offbeat company. AMT also produces an early 70's Camaro, baldwin motion colors. Revellogram also does the 3n1 ki as was mentioned. Good luck Chris |

MPC did a 71, 72 and a 73 Firebird. but don't hold your breath on finding one, MPC is out of business. and the kit goes for big $$$$$$ on Ebay, If memory recalls AMT did a 76? Trans Am about 10 years ago, but that one is even going for 30-40 bucks on Ebay. here's the box art to a 71, good luck on finding one, one of my "holy grail" is a 75.

Re: Second Gen Firebird Kit?
Those monogram kits for the 70 and 71 Firebird are NICE. Unfortunatley I can't find any 70-73 kits on eBay, regardless the price.
Well, good to know the kits are out there, hope I can find one sometime. Thanks for all the help guys.
