Where I can find this paint color?

Hello friends,

I am looking for a light turquoise green. I mean just this type of finish:

I need a type of paint that can be applied with the airbrush. I searched among the colors of Zero Paints, but have no reference that resembles the color tone I'm looking for. What other possibilities are there?

Thank you very much!

Edwing

I'm pretty sure Model Car World should have it...

Thank you very much for your answers friends. I managed to locate in Hiroboy these two references:

I think this is already solved my problem.

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Edwing

This is very close to what you want. The shot on the page is off on shade.

http://www.testors.com/products/137027

This car says it was painted with the above.

Hi Rob, than you very much for you reply.
The color you've recommended me, is exactly the original paint code General Motors (Tropical Torquoise). But I have already placed an order Hiroboy a color very similar to Tamiya Coral Blue. I hope you truly be similar.

By the way, the car in the picture is a real beauty. Is yours that work?

Cheers,

Edwing

Re: Where I can find this paint color?

Edwing,
The car I posted was just an example I found on the web that was painted with the Testors Lacquer. It is a beauty that I would be proud to own though. I hope the paint from Hiroboy is what you are looking for. If you haven't used the Testors lacquers, I highly reccomend them. They are very similar to Tamiya in quality and use. They just need to expand their lineup of "basic" colors.

Re: Where I can find this paint color?

I believe the car is a 1956 Chevy Bell air. In that year they had two turquoise colors 698 Twilight and 749 Tropical. Based on your photos it looks like the lighter of the two which makes it 749 Tropical Turquoise. Scalefinishes.com matches the original color code with their paint. I have used their Dodge Dark Green Metallic, Aston Martin DBS Quantum Silver and they are spot on, and lay down great. Their prices are good, but you will need an airbrush and I highly recommend a respirator when spraying. Otherwise their paint is superb and when i need a specific color i am continuing to use them

Re: Where I can find this paint color?

Hi guys,
Thank you all for your suggestions. Finally, today I received the bottle of Zero Paints 'Coral Blue'. But as I was not convinced with the tonality of the painting, I decided to experiment making a diabolical mix with other bottle of ZP color, Light Green similar to TS-22. This has been the result of my experiment:

In conclusion, I have managed to get the color I need for my model car.

Thanks

Edwing
