Mitsu test drive

OK, so I wanted to test drive an evo8 ..... my brother and I went to Mitsubishi of fairfield on a saturday (typically the busiest day at a dealer) and the place was empty. There were four salesmen with thier thumbs up thier asses, no customers. They pounced on us.
We expressed our interest in the Lancer 8 and they said that a credit pre-approval was required before we could test drive it.
I can understand, they don't want people to come and flog thier car then leave.....and since my credit isn't all that good and my brother has none, there was no test drive.
We sit in the evo and the new eclipse and get ready to leave.....(rejected, but not mad, yet)
This particularly motivated sales guy stops us at the door and says "if you like that car, you'll want to see this". He procceeds to take us out thier used lot and show us a Lancer oz/rallyart
Did this jackass think that I wouldn't know the difference?
.....that I would look at that Mirage with a wing and think that it was the same car?
We left, after letting him know how we felt about his service
then we went and test drove a WRX
