ferrari 488 gt3 1/24...
Cant find the picture right now, but I've seen in Nurnberg toy fair the 488 gt3 will be done....slot car by Carrera digital.
Their 458 gt3 was little toysh but body was pretty decent, despite it was referred to last version of this gt. It is a little bit pricey way to make a static racer, but (as well as for the 991 rsr made recently by scaleauto)..it is better than nothing. great news btw.

Re: ferrari 488 gt3 1/24...
This is the 488 GT promo at Carrera stand in Nurnberg. from ladies u clearly understand is carrera place. LOL
https://scontent-mxp1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...18&oe=590D0D95 about 991 in 1/24, I've seen the advertisement around Xmas on the Spanish website dealer of scaleauto (they are Spanish...this dealer is Spanish so think correct). I just remember the price for plain body PLUS the complete slotracer under was very pricey, then I start to guess the money needed to convert into a static model and IMHO the price comes very near to a MFH kit. They don't sell only the plastics. When they do it this happens after more than one year from the selling of the complete racer...and we are talking of the 2013 le mans car..... Of course you can buy it, take away plastics..try resell in eBay..blah blah blah.... I did this stuff and was a paint to do. A little bit pricey for my wallet, and for a curbside model requiring some skill to be closed......

Then, after those 90 euros (part plus exp) i get this.. despite i like extreme conversions, I dont think I can make a decent static model from this body. So I posted back to spain, and thanks god guys at scaleauto understood me. They made an ultra light carbon fiber tissue body for slotrcing, probably much more easy to produce than plastic bodies as their viper or bmw´s. I dont think it is usable for our pourposes, and I really hope this post can save somebody else´s wallet. Not mine. As usual btw.

WTF is that ????
I thought that are 3D printed prototypes... the plastic slot-kits are quite good Mike |

Re: ferrari 488 gt3 1/24...
also this is 3d printed. It is still possible to note the little lines/waves under the nose section, typical of such printing (for the master)
probably the difference is the new production system. I think for those ultra lightweight they basically made a sort of vacuform, exactly as the guy from pattos place does with his lexan ones. It matches perfectly thr slotracing pourpose but not our way of make static detailed models from them. Just the price is a little bit different from pattos, 7 aud vs 55 euros. (plus 27 of postage...plus mines 12 to post it back.. )

Suspect we have to wait a little bit more for such nice gt cars, also cause i really dont want to scrap that nice 488 berlinetta die cast from burago, as I had to do for my 991 rsr. PS. At today, scaleauto do not sell the 1/24 991 separate body alone. I asked as exchange for my 488 gt body but they only have the complete slotracer (150 euros...)

Re: ferrari 488 gt3 1/24...
end of this nightmare. I just sent it back to guys in spain and exchanged with a beemax bmw m3. Not so special like a 488 GT, but at least I can do something more than using this part so far away from my expectation.
Cricracc is a very serious and helpful company. Hope this adventure helps to avoid such mistakes.
