I've not worked much before with white metal parts in kits, I really prefer resin/plastic, I suppose that's why I still have a couple of gunze high detail kits sitting on the shelf LOL

Excellent start, it's coming together very nicely. I feel though that for the price of these kits, the fit should be better..?? I know that they are not as easy to build as a plastic kit. But it always amazes me how, with a multi media kit, bad fit is expected, maybe even accepted on some level. But if the same were true of a plastic kit it would be labelled as a "bad" fitting kit.
Good luck with the build, I'll follow your progress with interest...

I think I'm catching up a bit. Had magnetic tumbler running last Friday for about 4 hours and got most of the parts
cleaned. Only big parts remain to clean manually, because they wouldn't fit into tumbler. I've permanently assembled engine
and gearbox parts, before painting. I was tempted to leave them as they came out of tumbler - shiny. But on real car engine
is aluminium color and gearbox is steel color. So, will have to prime and paint these 2 sub-assemblies and other parts.

They cycle of priming/sanding/priming can take long time. So, it could be a while before next updates in this WIP appear.

I do not understand what this cleaning was done for? To my opinion metal parts from box looks ready for painting without any cleaning works. They needs only in some adjustment works and to smooth out traces of mould junctions.
Can you show me more close what is the parts surface you receive after cleaning. For example like this:

I have different opinion on cleaning up the parts. I clean mold lines and a bit of extra metal sprouts. Tumbler then makes surfaces quite
a bit smoother. It is specifically useful for small parts, when sanding by hand is difficult. I have not taken photos of before and after specifically.
I'll try to get comparison photos next time.

Finally an update. Work has not stopped on this kit, but because current steps are preparations and painting it takes long
time to get something worth showing. To not bore you with many photos I've made 2 collages depicting priming and painting
steps. I have more small parts to be painted. Body panels will have to be checked for surface imperfections, primed with
white primer and then I can start painting body colours for the FINA livery and apply decals.

If you carbon fibre the interior it will look brill?

Almost 3 weeks without updates, but there is progress and this build is moving ahead. Just not as
fast I would have liked. Done quite a bit more painting. Bought 4 different shades of gold and metallic
yellow. Yet not a single one looked like real colour or suspension arms. Used the closest one I had.
Done some washes on engine elements. I've used Tamiya smoke over aluminium. Not sure what to
use for a wash on gearbox. It's painted in steel colour. I guess I need some kind of diluted silver wash.
No photos of body parts, because they are being prepared for white primer. While I like exhausts painted
in stainless steel, they do not look realistic that way. Bought Alclad Exhaust Manifold paint and plan to
use it in attempt to get colour closer to original.

There is so much carbon fibre exposed on this car. I'm still deliberating on how much effort I would want
to put in it and what would be the minimum set of parts "carbonized" I could get away with.

Very nice update. The painted parts look amazing. About the CF. I would do as much as i can. Just an opinion of course. Keep up the good work.

Does anyone know whether the kit includes parts for other versions??
If the default kit the same for all versions, the only other decal options??

There are two types of the MFH's kit: one is for versions A, B, C and the second is for versions D, E. The main differences are in the suspension arms and the rear wing. You can choose one of them for the different liveries you want to apply. The differences you can see in these scans of the instruction.

You have understood me right. The assembly instructions are identical excluding the title and the last pages, in which the current version has shown. For example, this is the last page of one version.
