Steering sensitivity. Nissan Rogue.

I have a 16 rogue, 2wd. I had new tires put on 5000 miles ago. Toyo Extenza. I immediately noticed it was hard to drive straight. A slight adjustment would cause a pull to the right, then I would correct and it would pull to the left. Steering wheel is tight. I took it back twice. They aligned it twice. Husband doesn't notice it so I thought I was being picky and I'd get used to it. But I just can't.

Is it the tires? (They are inflated to 33)
Is there a way to adjust something?

Re: Steering sensitivity. Nissan Rogue.

It's possible that the tires are trying to follow the grooves or ruts in the pavement. Do you only notice it on certain roads?

Can you post/photograph the size on the sidewall of one of your tires?

Should look something like '225/55R18' or such. Your pressure(33psi) sounds about right for that class of vehicle.

If the tires are relatively wide, they might be doing something called "tramlining" - following ruts or grooves in the roadway. This leads to the steering wheel tugging itself from your hands.

One reason why I'm opposed to the current trend of giant, wide rims and wheels on late model cars!
